Building Highlights

Located in the Southwest corner of East 72nd Street and First Avenue. 

Erected in 1963 and converted  into a cooperative in 1971.

Multi-family residential building with 460 units. 

Project Highlights 

Scope of Project: New design for the renovation of an underutilized rear yard patio to serve as a focal point from the building entrance. FSI's design included a waterfall feature, new landscaping, hardscape and seating. 

FSI's Involvement: FSI presented ideas and prepared several solutions to obtain input from the client. The firm then coordinated the final design and selection of materials with the Board and multiple vendors. In addition, FSI also engineered the irrigation system, lighting design and plant specimen selection and was involved through the preparation of bid documents and construction to project closeout.
