Project Highlights
Scope of Project: Restoration of the front (Broadway), South and East facades. The Broadway facade required general re-pointing, repairs to cracked stone and terracotta decorative elements. Missing elements were replicated in GRFC. The east facade required structural replacement and reinforcement of steel beams in the area of the fire escape landings that had badly corroded because of water infiltration.
FSI's Involvement: FSI prepared construction documents and provided project management services during the construction phase, all the while keeping costs under tight control. In addition, the firm engineered the structural reinforcement with the goal of minimizing disturbances to the unit owners in the affected apartments.
