Project Highlights
Scope of Project: FSI was asked to inspect the building and identify the cause of water infiltration issues through the window wall.
FSI's Involvement: FSI's initial involvement was to develop the scope and methods of water testing and probing. Consequently, it was determined that the operable vents lacked gasketing and the window wall system lacked critical components that could not be corrected without removal of the system. In addition, FSI also discovered additional deficiencies including deteriorating structural steel, improper window wall attachment and lack of insulation. FSI prepared documents to correct the deficiencies in the window wall installation and finally their implementation.
FSI currently serves as the building's Board Architects including preparation of documents, filing with city agencies for permits, bidding, project management and sign-offs with city agencies.
